Balazs Moldovan will be featured in our 15th Annual Art Gala on Friday, May 8th at Paradise Point.  He is from Miskolc, Hungary, and moved to California in 1996. His love for woodworking started in high school. Following high school, he worked in construction and carpentry.  Having taken a class in fine woodworking, he built some outdoor furniture for friends, family and a few customers. Quickly, his patio furniture became a hit!  People started asking “What’s your company’s name?”, “Do you have a website?”, “Can you ship across the US?” and The Hungarian Workshop was born — turning his dream into a reality.
Each bourbon barrel chair is handmade with quality craftsmanship and with attention to detail. All the barrel staves are curved just the right amount which provides excellent support through out your entire body. They are lightly sanded just enough to take away any dirt and grime left behind from the aging process, meanwhile without removing any of the natural colors. With stainless steel clips underneath to ensure structural durability and strength.
Be sure to get your tickets for the art gala, and check out more of Balaza creations on his website:
